Cat Adoption Procedure If you see a cat on the website that you are VERY interested in then please do give us a ring. We can register your name against that cat as an INITIAL INTEREST which means you have 'first refusal' This means you then have that day or the next day to come out and meet the cat. (All children aged 14 and UNDER in the house MUST meet the cat). ALL children & adults MUST be at the home-check should you go for a CONFIRMED Interest on the cat. Adoption fee for Cats & Kittens: £60.00 This adoption fee includes Micro-chipping, Neutering/Spaying and up to date de-fleaing and worming. Neutering - Where possible we neuter all of the cats. If the cat you select has not been neutered at the time of the adoption you will receive a Voucher.
Micro-chipping - We microchip all of our cats when they come in to our care. Once adopted they then get registered to the new owner. Arden Grange Food - We feed all of our cats on the complete dry food 'Arden Grange'. This can be purchased from us at the time of adoption and onwards and from various local retailers. Purchasing this food from us WILL help us to feed the cats left behind in the cattery for a whole month!! *Full details of all this will be explained to you during the adoption* For ADVICE on Cat care click on the link: http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pets/-/article/CAD_OurPets

* CAT OF THE MONTH *
Cleo Ref WC5643 12-15 yrs old, Female
Cleo came into Brent Knoll Animal Centre towards the end of April 2013, she had been a long term stray going back to the summer of 2012. The finder had been feeding Cleo as when she first appeared in their garden she was very thin. She has had lots of love, attention and good food at the centre and is now ready to find her forever home. Due to her senior years, she would enjoy a quiet home with older children. Children - Secondary School + Cats - No Dogs - Unknown

|
8 years old, Neutered Male Handsome Saffron originally came in to us in 2008 as a stray. He quickly found a new home where he lived happily for four years. Sadly he recently had to come back in to the centre through no fault of his own. He is certainly a quirky character who just absolutely LOVES a fuss and a cuddle but on his terms! Being a fluffy chap he will need regular grooming to keep his coat tangle free.
Children - No

Eggburt
Ref WC5609 Approx 1 year old, Neutered Male Eggburt came into our care as an injured stray, he had a dislocated hip which has now been completely sorted out. He is a very cheeky chap, full on and quite boisterous so will need a home with lots of space and toys to occupy him. An experienced cat owner would be an advantage. Cats - No Dogs - Possibly Children - Secondary School +

Baloo Ref
WC5546 2 years old approx, Neutered Male Baloo had been a stray for some time before one of our Inspectors brought him into our care. He was in poor condition and was understandably quite nervous when he first arrived. Now he has made a full recovery and has blossomed into a big bossy tom cat, full of beans with a fabulous character to match! He would suit an experienced cat home due to his bossy personality! Cats - Yes, female only Dogs - Possibly Children - No, adult home only

Pairs of Adult Cats!

Jim & Minstrel! This cheeky pair of almost identical black & white cats came into our care separately last year. However, they really get on well together and just LOVE to play and play and play!!! They both need a special home with a patient new owner that is going to let them settle in their own time.
Jim Ref WC5425 6 - 8 months old approx, Neutered Male Handsome man Jim has a fabulous quirky personality. His mum was a semi feral cat that was sadly killed in an accident, so Jim came in to us to find a new home. Initially Jim was very wary of us and uncomfortable being handled. However several months later he is making huge progress and is very friendly and affectionate, though still a little wary of being picked up, so new owners must be patient and committed to work with Jim to improve his confidence. He has now been with us since September and is really looking for his forever home.
8 months old, Neutered Male Minstrel was found locally as an unclaimed stray in a very poor condition. He is a lovely, lively boy with a gorgeous boisterous personality! He LOVES to play and gets on fabulously with his best mate Jim. Minstrel was actually adopted and returned to us last year after it became apparent that he really wasn't comfortable around young children. So he really would love an adult home.
Dogs - Unknown Children - No, adult home only as Minstrel not comfortable with children. TO BE HOMED TOGETHER! |
