Cat Adoption Procedure

If you see a cat on the website that you are VERY interested in then please do give us a ring. We can put a temporary reserve on that cat for you. This means you then have that day or the next day to come out and meet the cat. (All children aged 14 and UNDER in the house MUST meet the cat).

ALL children & adults MUST be at the home-check should you go for a FULL reserve on the cat.

Adoption fee for Cats & Kittens: £60.00

This adoption fee includes Micro-chipping, Neutering/Spaying and up to date de-fleaing and worming.

Neutering - Where possible we neuter all of the cats. If the cat you select has not been neutered at the time of the adoption you will receive a Voucher.

Micro-chipping - We microchip all of our cats when they come in to our care. Once adopted they then get registered to the new owner.

Arden Grange Food - We feed all of our cats on the complete dry food 'Arden Grange'. This can be purchased from us at the time of adoption and onwards and from various local retailers. Purchasing this food from us WILL help us to feed the cats left behind in the cattery for a whole month!!

*Full details of all this will be explained to you during the adoption*

* CAT OF THE MONTH *

Kirsty Ref WC5003

 10 years old (approx), Female.

Kirsty was sadly a stray but very lucky to be found as she had a very bad fractured pelvis. For the last couple of months she has been on strict rest and TLC and pain relief, she is now loads better and ready for a new home. The severity of the fracture has meant that although she has recovered, she does walk with a bit a wiggle!

She is an older/quiet cat that enjoys a fuss and to be groomed. She also spends most of her time inside and just pops outside for a little fresh air, then back to bed! So she is likely to be a very homely cat - ideal for someone at home a lot that would like some company.

Her photo doesn't do her justice - she really is a pretty little girl with so much love to give.

Ideal for a retired person or couple.

Dogs - Unknown

Children - Older/ Quiet/Sensible

Kittens & Young Cats

We have a selection of youngsters all under 6 months old looking for new homes.

Harry & Ginny

Ref WC5102 &WC5103

Harry - White & Ginger, 6 month old, Neutered Male.

Ginny  - Black & White, 6 month old, Spayed Female.

This cute pair were brought in to our care by one of our inspectors, they were extremely frightened.

Harry is the cuddly one, quite a soppy boy! He can be a little bit shy with people he doesn't know.

Ginny is very shy but gaining confidence every day, but will need a very patient and understanding quiet home.

Cats - Yes

Dogs - Maybe a very quiet dog

Children - Older Teenage+ as they are not used to children.

CAN BE HOMED TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY

Dinky Ref WC4991

Black & White, 5 month old, Neutered Male.

Dinky came into our care along with his mum and 2 siblings all have which have found new homes. Sadly Dinky is still with us and is still looking for a new family. He is quite small for his age and was mothered quite a lot because of this!

Dinky needs a patient and experienced cat home as he isn't a huge fan of being picked up or fussed at the moment although he is also becoming quite inquisitive and loves to play!

He is a little bit shy but gaining confidence every day.

Cats - Yes

Dogs - Maybe a very quiet dog

Children - Older Teenage+ as he isn't used to children.

Mark Ref WC5010

 6 month old, Neutered Male.

A little bit shy but gaining confidence every day.

Mark really deserves a loving home as he is a sweet chap and VERY playful!

Mark however does have a blocked tear duct which means he will always have a slight weepy eye.

Cats - Yes (vaccinated cats only), this is as a precaution as when he arrived one of his brothers was poorly with yucky sticky eyes.

Dogs - Maybe

Children - Older/sensible teens as he is shy

(Lower right photo - Mark and his new friend Dinky playing in the cattery!)

Single Male Adult Cats

We have several singles boy adult cats looking for new homes!

Bob Ref WC5023

 2 - 3 year old, Neutered Male.

Bob was a stray. He was very very frightened when he arrived in our care but now has settled in and enjoys a fuss and now even likes to occasionally sit on a lap!!! He is a BIG TOM CAT that we imagine will be a good hunter!  He is not afraid to tell you if he is annoyed with you (with a bop on the hand usually when he is keen to have his breakfast) but it all adds to his personality!

He would be perfect for someone that has maybe a farm, small holding or large garden so that he can roam about like lord of the manor!!

Leo Ref WC5084

 10 year old, Neutered Male.

Leo was found as a poorly stray with an upset tummy . He is now in very good health for his age.

Like with all our cats 10 years and over, Leo has had a health check by the vet and had blood tests to check his kidneys etc all of which were ok. He  has also had a dental.

He is an older/quiet cat that enjoys a fuss.

Cheeky Ref WC5096

Cheeky was a stray, but luckily found a family that looked after him until we were able to take him in. He is a lovely BIG cat with lots of love to give to a family.

Single Female Adult Cats

We have several single girlie adult cats looking for new homes!

Bridget Ref WC4986

 2 years old, Female.

She is a sweet and affectionate pretty tabby cat found as a stray.

She likes attention on her terms! Her favourite thing is to rub around your legs and follow you around!

No Cats

Dogs- Unknown

Children - Older Teenage

Ruby Ref WC4780

1 year old, Spayed Female.

Ruby came into our care as a heavily pregnant stray. She went in to a lovely foster home where she had and raised 4 gorgeous kittens all of which have found new homes!

Ruby was quite bald on her back end when she arrived. This is due to a flea allergy where basically she hadn't been treated for fleas and she began to scratch and lick all her fur out. We have been treating her regularly for fleas and gradually the hair is coming back. As you can see from her photos she looks lovely now!

Ruby is full of mischief and character but also very loving and enjoys being groomed. Her favourite thing is to run really fast up and down the cattery especially if she has a ping pong ball to chase!

Jack & Cracker

Ref WC5001 & WC5002

Both 10 years old, Neutered Males.

This is a big handsome pair of boys. Jack is a stunning grey tabby and Cracker the ginger.

They were shy when they first arrived but now after lots of cuddles they are much happier and very affectionate. Cracker is now the most confident cat in the cattery and loves to strut about as if he owns the place! He is also extremely cheeky and likes to play and be very nosy!!

Like with all our cats 10 years and over, these boys have had a health check by the vet and had blood tests to check their kidneys etc all of which were ok. Jack has also had a dental.

They have lived for the past 10 years only in a flat so have never experienced the outside world. We feel they should now have that opportunity, however they are likely to be very homely cats. they would suit perhaps a retired person/couple.

Cats -  Only each other

Children - 10 years+ if sensible/cat experienced!
