FOSTERING
Fostering is a big part of our centre. On site at Brent Knoll we have kennels and cattery .Therefore any small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents etc are all cared for by fosterers that live within the North Somerset area. When the animal comes in as a stray/abandoned/unwanted we hold the animal at Brent Knoll in temporary accommodation until we can arrange for the fosterer to collect.
In 2008 we also started up a Cat Fostering system. This has worked brilliantly and we are on the look out for more cat fosterers. The cat fostering is mainly for Mother cats with kittens or an injured cat that needs lots of TLC.
Fostering is a wonderful thing to do, myself and many other staff are fosterers as it is so rewarding. So please, if you have the time, space and would like to help, just give us a call.
For any of the fostering, a home check is done, plus there is plenty of communications with the staff here at Brent Knoll.

We have suitable cages plus accessories all ready for unwanted rodents to go in to - We just need people to look after them!

PLEASE - We are desperate for rabbit fosterers. We see lots of unwanted rabbits, and until we have a small animal unit built here at the centre we are entirely dependant on peoples goodwill to help us take in and look after all the small animals.
